SABIC, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chemicals, fertilizers, plastics and metals, has joined forces with Airbus Middle East to offer workshops for Saudi youth in areas related to aviation, robotics and renewable energy.
Under the theme of innovation, the SABIC Summer Training Program took place from 2 August to 19 August across Yanbu, Jubail and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Over 450 Saudi students between 17 and 21 years old participated in a series of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) inspired workshops; consisting of three categories covering the Airbus Little Engineer A380 Assembly workshop, SABIC Core workshop and The Little Engineer Renewable Energy workshop.
The three-week training program was designed by The Little Engineer in partnership with SABIC and Airbus Middle East. It aims at promoting engagement in STEM related activities and training initiatives for Saudi youth to support the growing needs of talent while encouraging nationals to pursue careers in STEM associated fields.
